Resurrection by Abu Sayed

Today my joy breaks
All narrow walls of everyday
Thoughts and deeds.All mundane
Choice to treasure up profit
I’ve denied.Today all my desire have raised
To high heaven breaking
All my personal individual benefit
Into an unique universal will.

Today any of mankind’s sufferings
I’ve drawn up
Upon my own shoulder
Knowing my fault in this great folly.

Today my pain is nobler than
Any pleasure, as because, today
I’ve discovered my own
Image inside every form and
Formless of reality.

Hello Abu, Liked this. I

Hello Abu,

Liked this. I enjoyed the words you've chosen to get your message across, for example, 'Today my pain is nobler than Any pleasure' and 'I’ve discovered my own Image inside every form and Formless of reality.'.

Basically it reminded me alot of shamanism and the belief that if we go deeper enough every human would become a bird or a flower, and that we're all interconnected. Have you read any of Ted Hughes poetry?

Your poem reminded me a little of hhis style :)

I felt that the poem was like a prayer with a message, and I found it very comforting.

Many thanks for sharing

Hello Belinda

Many thanks Belinda that you appreciated the work. You're
right to tell 'the poem was like a prayer with a message'.
Sorry for late reply.

I liek thsi verse best:

Today ....mankind’s sufferings
I’ve drawn up
Upon my own shoulder
Knowing my fault in this great folly.

Is the poem available in another language or is it only in English? -pete

Hi Pete

No, it's only in English. I write both in Bangla and English -
and a number of poems of like kind I've composed in both the language.

Thanks Pete that you've appreciated my work.

Salaam Abu Sayed I have read

Salaam Abu Sayed

I have read this - I too like the same verse :) and was wondering if you would like to post the ones in Bangla , with translation?I write in Urdu,in Roman script, from the verses of the Quran and sunnah to re-educate young muslims in Britain today and am very interested in translation at the moment too.

This, to me, feels more like a translation as the grammar / word order seems to be following or is influenced by Bangla. ( ?)

Look forward to seeing more. Keep posting.

W'salaam
