A most welcome submission to the inbox these past couple of days was writeoutloud; at www.writeoutloud.net something like that. Crammed full of poetry events, a very worthwhile bunch to link up with. I've been to a couple of their gigs in Wigan(quick cheap and easy to get to by rail in the evenings) and I have an idea they come even closer to Manchester on occasion. Worth checking out
Just to mention... From yesterdays blog. One of the worst things that 'can be done to someone' is where they aren't taken seriously. That in essence may have been the bone of contention as far as the indiviual referred to, was concerned

yes those cats certainly know how to get poetry news together and bang it out. They also allow profiles of poets - tempted to put one up there on thier website yourself?
Ed obviously here.
Ed obviously here. Anonymous??? I don't wish to be rude: who are you?
annonymous revealed
Hi Ed, that anonymous was me. But whenever someones who is not registered comments, that comment goes out as 'anonymous'. I looked up the Commonwordblogs website from a different machine (and doh could not remember my password I confess) so I was processed as 'anonymous'. Hope that explains it - gotta go now, my microwave just exploded - I'll be licking soup off the ceiling (again!) -Pete
Nabbed, yes
I'd assumed one of the writeoutloud guys had googled in! error most obviously - trust the soup was alright.
